Guest speakers from the Fern Street Food Pantry. The pantry is the newest program launched by The Fern Street Community Kitchen, which is operated by the Universalist Church of West Hartford with support from Foodshare, local merchants, and hundreds of local volunteers. On the third Saturday each month,they distribute non-perishables, fresh produce, frozen meats, and eggs to qualified recipients and to date they have distributed over 3.5 tons of food. |
