WH Rotary is the first group to aid the WH Police Department in setting up a reward account that could lead to the arrest of a hit and run driver
Eugenia Yurovsky, 89, of West Hartford, was struck near the intersection of Boulevard and Whiting Lane shortly before 5 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2022. The driver of the car took off, leaving only a little bit of evidence on the scene.
Asst. Chief Rob Riccobon and Lieutenant Tom Lazure were at our meeting on February 27th, hoping that the club could help fund a reward for information. WH Rotary stepped up immediately, voting to dedicate $1000 from the club treasury and the next four weeks of ‘Happy Dollars’ collections. The chief intends to go to other civic organizations and the business community seeking contributions that will hopefully lead to an arrest. We are leading the way!
