Our speaker for Oct. 7 was PDG Alan Hurst, our Zone 32 Rotary Coordinator. spoke about the Peace Fellowships. While many things changed with the new programs of The Rotary Foundation, the one area that stayed the same is the Peace Fellowship program. This offers either Masters degrees in peace and conflict resolution, or a development certificate for professionals in that area. The program is held at 6 universities world wide. Alan told us about his visits to the graduating classes of peace professionals over the last few years. He was impressed with work the graduates did as interns in the field, and with what they've gone on to accomplish after graduation. He encouraged us to submit names to the program, which only accepts up  to 110 Fellows every year.
