Sergeant at Arms John Smealie reports 29 Rotarians are present.  Three guests were present:  John Foxx, a candidate for Connecticut State Senate District 7 and guest of David Gerrol; Dave Walker, a candidate for Lt. Governor, and Capt. Lawrence Goodman of the Salvation Army.

There was no guest speaker this week and a club assembly was held instead.  Hap presented three main topics:

  1. He is refreshing the New Member Committee and passed around a signup list
  2. There will be an event at Pond House on Monday, October 6th (in lieu of normal meeting).  This will be an event for people who want to learn about Rotary.  We will give 6-8 presentations on the things we do.
  3. We are co-sponsors with the Farmington Club of the Kinetic Sculpture event to be held at Winding Trails on 21 Sept.  There are volunteer opportunities – see Hap if you are interested!

The meeting was adjourned at 1:30, with Cindy leading the 4-way test.  The next meeting is July 28th, 2014 at Pondhouse Cafe.
