Oct. 15 Meeting - Bicycling in West Hartford

Guest Steve Mitchell discussed his initiatives in making Simsbury a bike-friendly town as well as his role with the East Coast Greenway.  He acknowledged Pattie Jacobus’ work with Bicycle Friendly Simsbury, Mary Ellen Thibodeau’s leadership of Bike Walk CT and Scott Franklin’s stewardship as Chairman of the West Hartford Bike Advisory Committee.  Scott said that West Hartford is currently seeking “bike friendly” designation.  All encouraged continued bicycle safety and connectability education on the local level.
