Meeting minutes - 11 May
The club met on Monday May 11th at The Pond House Cafe in West Hartford. Speaker John O'Neil of Kinetic Media discussed his recent documentary about the MDC produced for CPTV.
Announcements:
- Mark Tamaccio received 2 Paul Harris Awards today. He was pinned by Eileen Rau.
- Lobster Fest is June 20th. Rotarians volunteered to distribute flyers around town. If purchase tickets by June 1st, then tickets are $5.00 off.
- President Cindy is looking for volunteers for the Amber Alert station at the Calhoun Walk on May 30th.
- Celebrate West Hartford will be June 6th and June 7th! Todd Bower is still looking for volunteers to take shifts for Celebrate.
- Hap Leabman announced that Tavern night at Barcelona generated $35.00 profit which was applied to Annual Fund.
John Smeallie - Sergeant of Arms:
- 2 guests: Tommy Mehan of another Rotary Club and speaker John O'Neil of Kinetic media.
- Pot is $31 with no winners

- Emmy Award winner for documentary on a newspaper in Bristol
- CPTV reached out to John to do documentary
- Talked abut his documentary on MDC which is about how MDC brings clean water for us and how take waste water out.
- Documentary premiers May 19th 8pm on CPTV
- Cool fact he shared was that the reservoir has water supply for up to 18 months if it were to stop raining today!
