July 8 Meeting

Last week, we had two speakers. First was Jacqui Britz, our Ambassadorial Scholar. Jacqui spen a year at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where she majored in public health. While there, she and other students raised money for Shelter Boxes, through the 3 Peak Challenge. Jacqui will go on to medical school at VCU. The Club will contribute $100 to Jacqui's charity, using happy dollars and a match from the Club.

Paul Pendergast is Chief Development Officer at Back 9 network. Paul was a long time exec at UConn, including positions as Development Director and Interim Athletic Director. Back 9 is a new cable show devoted 24/7 to the game of golf. Unlike the Golf Channel, Back 9 will not just cover games but the entire lifestyle surrounding golf.
